THE NASAL BLOOD SUPPLY:

Netter Plate Number: 36

Blood supply:
Lateral Nasal Wall- anterior ethmoid, posterior ethmoid, sphenopalatine
Septum- Superior labial, greater palatine, anterior ethmoid, posterior ethmoid, sphenopalatine

Venous supply:
Follows the basic arterial pattern, the ethmoidal veins drain into the orbital cavity becoming ophthalmic veins.
The sphenopalatine veins enter the pterygopalatine fossa.

Kiesselbach's area is an area on the anterior part of the nasal septum above the intermaxillary bone richly supplied with blood vessels.
This area is clinically significant as it is a common site of nosebleeds.
